The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 PM with the presentation “Belonging to the Universe”. This short TEDx.Jacksonville video features Warren Anderson, active in many local environmental protection agencies, and implores us to restore the early link to nature that we enjoyed as children in the great outdoors.
The presentation will be followed by a mystery plant identification featuring Ixia members Jake Ingram, a retired landscape architect and James Loper, owner of Reflections of Nature Nursery in Fernandina. Attendees are invited to bring unidentified plant leaves, including flowers when possible, and let Jake and James classify and recommend how to care for it.
