Exploring the Chakras with 7 Crystal Bowls– A meditative yoga experience to facilitate healing by combining crystal bowl harmonic tones with a Kundalini Yoga inspired practice for each chakra followed by a guided relaxation, hosted by renowned healers and instructors Dennis & Kathy Lang. Please stop by 2840 Park Street on Saturday to tour the new community garden with some of our dedicated volunteers who helped construct the garden space and see a grass roots community project come to life! There will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 1:00pm on Saturday of the tour. There will also be a coloring contest in the garden with a prize for the best by age, as well as planting seeds for the little ones to take home with them.
After the opening ceremony, there will be plenty for guests to do around the garden. Volunteers will lead tours every fifteen minutes from 10am until 4pm, and children can plant seeds and participate in a coloring contest for from 10am until 1pm. All entries will be hung around the garden for viewers to enjoy, and winners in each category will receive prizes. Young gardeners will be on hand selling lemonade from fresh-squeezed Meyer lemons and water with proceeds benefiting the garden operations.
Kids+Parents Yoga– Connect, bond, and play in a fun+nourishing environment with your child. Children (ages 5-11) and parents will explore yoga, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques with flowing sequences, balancing poses, partner poses, and playful, cooperative yoga games. Come and learn about the culture of this incredible insect and all the fascinating things it does for mankind. We will talk about beekeeping in Florida and what you can do to help “save the bees”! We will sample the primary honey varieties that are produced in Florida as well!
