Basic Handbuilding (Clay) @ Murray Hill Art Center

Explore the aspects of creating with clay off the wheel. You’ll become very comfortable working with coils, pinch pots and slabs.  You will learn to use underglazes for decoration  Instructor provides guidance for all levels of experience with special attention to newcomers.  Experienced potters may pursue independent projects.

Please wear comfortable cotton clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.  You may want to bring an apron to wear and please leave your fine jewelry at home.

Pastel Drawing Class @ Murray Hill Art Class

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

39th Annual Ortega River Run @ St. Mark's Episcopal Day School

The one-mile fun run begins at 8 a.m. and the five-mile grand prix race begins at 8:30 a.m. Over 3,000 participants and spectators are expected to enjoy this race through our beautiful neighborhood.
