This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.
Meet at the Willowbranch Library and walk one block to the Riverside Avondale Community Garden, where District 14 Councilman Jim Love will read to the children.
This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

The one-mile fun run begins at 8 a.m. and the five-mile grand prix race begins at 8:30 a.m. Over 3,000 participants and spectators are expected to enjoy this race through our beautiful neighborhood. Riverside Presbyterian, Riverside Avondale Christian, Good Shepherd Episcopal, and Trinity Lutheran Churches help support CEW at these schools. Admission is FREE and a Freewill Offering will be gratefully accepted.
