Mother’s Day-theme Story Time at San Marco Library @ San Marco Branch Library

On May 10 the San Marco Library will be having a special Mother’s Day-themed story time with an equally special guest: the First Lady of Jacksonville, Molly Curry. The Mayor’s wife will be there to talk to the children and also read a story. The program will begin at 10:30 that Wednesday and will be followed by a Mother’s Day themed Toddler Art.

In anticipation of the upcoming Young Adult Job Fair held at the Main Branch on June 6, the local San Marco Library is offering an Interview Skills Workshop. The workshop will walk young adults through the process of an interview step by step. Attendees will also receive an early-access pass to allow them into the job fair on June 6 before it’s open to the public. This program is for young adults ages 16–24.

Stories for Young Children @ Willowbranch Library

This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.

Pastel Drawing Class @ Murray Hill Art Class
May 12 @ 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.
