Virginia College Career Fair @ Virginia College
May 19 @ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The event is free and open to the public, featuring career development opportunities, refreshments, giveaways, an “Ask the Employer and Alumni” panel and a variety of workshops and sessions covering topics like occupational outlook, dressing for success, small businesses and VA resource services. Attendees will be entered to win prizes such as a Chromebook and an Amazon gift card. Community members planning to attend must call 904-520-7400 to register with the campus prior to the event.

The event is part of Virginia College parent company Education Corporation of America’s national Career Fair events being held at 63 other Brightwood College, Brightwood Career Institute and Virginia College locations throughout 17 states.

Pastel Drawing Class @ Murray Hill Art Class

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

Yard Golf Fundraiser for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Association

It has to be the most FUN way to FUNDRAISE! The Pajcics are again hosting a yard golf tournament to raise money for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA).

This time we will have two 9-hole courses. Every golfer has the opportunity to win $6,000 if they can ace the 6th hole. We will have local celebrities including Jaguar players and former NBA great Artis Gilmore who will attempt a hole-in-one to benefit their own charities as well as Legal Aid. The Pajcic Firm matches all donations from the event for JALA. Don’t miss out! Please join us on Saturday May 20th.
