Elevate: Taking Your Relationship to the Next Level is a research-based program that blends practical skills with an understanding of the physiology of human interaction (the heart-brain-behavior connection) to enhance healthy relationship knowledge and skills. Two distinct characteristics of ELEVATE are (1) the practical strategies and tools taught , and (2) the inclusion of mindfulness practice activities that will help you regulate your heart-brain response to stressful triggers. You will learn the physiology of love (emotions & responses), empowering yourself (health & self care), laying the foundation (trust & commitment), enlightenment (shared information & expectations), value and respect (building the relationship, attachment (couples identity & positive interactions, tame (attitudes & conflict), and engagement (social supports & community ties).

Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.
Do you have arthritis? Are you 60 years or older? Participants learn balance skills, good body alignment, and coordinated fluid movements to increase flexibility and strength, reduce falls, and improve fitness.

WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays, TIME: 5:30 -6:30p.m., DATES: 6/5/2018-7/26/2018. The one-hour classes meet twice a week for eight weeks.

Before You Tie the Knot (BYTK) is a premarital couple’s education curriculum that blends practical skills with an understanding of human needs to enhance healthy relationship knowledge and skills. BYTK is research-informed, meaning a research-based program designed to help premarital couples to recognize their own and partner’s needs, parenting positively, negotiate conflict successfully, communicate effectively, manage money skillfully, and develop and maintain healthy lifestyles.

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

The Vault at 1930 event is being held in support of the “In the Mood – The Art of Harry McCormick” exhibition from July 3rd to September 20, 2018 in the rotunda of the St Johns County Administration Building. This is an “Art in Public Spaces” exhibition by partnership between the St Johns County Cultural Council and the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners. Supporting sponsors include the St Johns County Tourist Development Council, The Community Foundation of Northeast Florida, the St Augustine Art Association, Clear Channel Outdoor, the Corazon Cinema and Cafe and The Vault at 1930 Art Gallery.
