See the wildlife ambassadors and rescue facilities, enjoy soft drinks and homemade goodies under the beautiful moss-covered oaks. At 2 p.m. there will be an onsite release of a successfully rehabilitated bird of prey.
This event also offers personal tours of the wildlife rehabilitation facility and the opportunity to meet educational ambassador birds that cannot be released back to the wild. Some wildlife that can be seen at the facility include: Peregrine Falcon, Barred, Great Horned and Screech Owls, Mohawk the Great Shouldered Hawk, playful river otters, turtles and other wildlife. There is also Edgar A. Poe, the albino talking crow and his friend, the Swallow Tail Kite. The ICU wildlife patient room, feed room, hospital room and outdoor animal housing facility will be open for the tour.
HAWKE 2018 Fall Open House House is open to current and new members (please bring email or paypal receipt of recent online membership purchase or join at the event), HAWKE donors, volunteers, invited guests, interested media representatives and those who have provided advertising, publicity, supplies or other much-needed support and services to HAWKE.

RareSong, a versatile Renaissance ensemble that specializes in music of the 16th-century, will present “Christmas on the First Coast.”
RareSong consists of seven professionally-trained musicians performing vocally and instrumentally using period-appropriate instruments such as recorders, viola da gamba and harpsichord. They bring the past to life through lively and beautiful music, costumes and a little drama. Founded in 2015, this ensemble has presented thirteen concerts in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Green Cove Springs, and Penney Farms.
There is no admission charge, but a freewill offering will be taken.

The Jax Harmony Chorus, a Sweet Adelines group, rehearses every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Open houses are held every 4th Tuesday but you are welcome any time! As a member of the chorus, you will belong to a worldwide family of friends who value the joy of singing chord-ringing, fun-filled harmony.
