This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

Women’s March Jacksonville will lead our community in another powerful day of action, to fight against social injustice, violence, and for the total equality of women and marginalized groups. Attendees will gather in Hemming Park; march to the Supervisor of Elections Office on Monroe Street; and return to Hemming Park to close out the rally with speakers and entertainment by Mama Blue and DJ Autrelle. Special programs include art-making activities, live music, and trolley transportation between the Cummer Museum and the Ritz Theatre and Museum (12 to 5 p.m.). An Ecumenical Prayer for Peace organized by OneJax will be held at 3 p.m. in the gardens. The Cummer Café will be open from 12 to 5 p.m.
Visitors will also help create a special collaborative “Art Peace” to be shown in the Cummer Museum. Participants will use watercolor resist and paper folding techniques to create quilt squares and paper chains with messages of peace and unity. Visitor artwork will be combined to create a larger display. Guests can participate in this collaborative art-making project at both the Cummer Museum and the Ritz Theatre and Museum.
Free admission is made possible through grants and sponsorships from The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, JAX Chamber, JEA, and the United Way of Northeast Florida.
