A Program of Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) the Riverside Arts Market celebrates the arts and our Northeast Florida community. The weekly market features live music, food, art, fresh produce under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge. Make art with your little one and enjoy gallery and garden visits on the second Saturday of each month. In this class students will look at the flowers in the gardens and the sculptures of Carlos Rolón in the sculpture garden. In the studio they will create mobiles using colors and shapes of nature. In partnership with Avant Arts, join us for a concert with HEAR in NOW, featuring Mazz Swift, Tomeka Reid, and Silvia Bolognesi. This world-class collective is a string trio that composes and improvises fluidly between free jazz and contemporary classical, folk music, and avant-garde. Be prepared to be engaged by their signature weaving of song, melody, and improvisation in a rich, unique, and diverse musical experience that speaks directly to your soul. Expect to be transported.
The Garden Concert series takes place in the beautiful and historic Cummer Gardens overlooking the St. Johns River. The Florida Chamber Music Project (FCMP) will feature four of Schumann’s works at their March 10th concert at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. They will be joined by pianist Hyunsoon Whang for Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E flat major.
