Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.
Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of Monroe and Laura Streets. Our route will change daily, and we will visit a variety of Jacksonville landmarks during this fun, free, twice-weekly event. For more information, email [email protected]
Take a break from the summer heat and join library staffers as we read out loud for 15 minutes every day! We’ll read our favorite books to you, and you might even decide to check out a copy of the title for yourself.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1…Blast off! to My Space Adventure. Over the next six weeks, we will explore a universe of fun art projects. It will be out of this world for kids ages 5-12. Space is limited.
Superheroes unite! Join us as we delve into the universes of Marvel and DC! We will discuss heroes and villains, create fandom crafts, and have super snacks. No capes required. This program is for teens ages 13-17.
Wilson Center for the Arts at Florida State College at Jacksonville, South Campus hosts Jacksonville Coalition for the Visual Arts (JCVA) summer art exhibit. The exhibit begins Thursday, June 13 with an opening reception from 5 – 7 PM. Showcasing JCVA member’s paintings and photographs, the exhibit runs through July 10, 2019.
All are invited to attend the opening reception and to view the summer show throughout its duration.
