“Beauties of Our World,” an exhibit of paintings and prints depicting flowers, animals, river scenes, and angels by artist Helen Ashmead will be on display August 1 through August 28, 2019 in the Vandroff Art Gallery of the Jewish Community Alliance.

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets. This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.
