Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets. Our route will change daily, and we will visit a variety of Jacksonville landmarks during this fun, free, twice-weekly event. For more information, email [email protected]

True Stories meets on the first Thursday of every month to discuss a nonfiction book selection.  At February’s meeting come prepared to discuss your favorite nonfiction reads and recommend books for future meetings.

This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.

Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

Homestreet Gallery & Studios is continuing to enliven the Jacksonville art scene with an exciting upcoming art show entitled “Surreal Fauxreal”. The dual-themed show will feature some amazing artwork of realism and surrealism on two separate floors of the Gallery. Luke Peacock will be providing entertainment on acoustic guitar on the front porch, and of course there will be wine, beer, and delicious hors d’oeuvres.
