About Riverside Arts Market
A Program of Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) the Riverside Arts Market celebrates the arts and our Northeast Florida community. The weekly market features live music, food, art, fresh produce under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge. In honor of Asian Pacific Heritage month, learn about Tie Sing, the best trail cook in the west and a Chinese American. We will share the story of how he lost his groceries, changed his plans and helped cook up the National Park Service. We will create a craft inspired by one of his creations. For children ages 5 – 12.
All programs are free and open to the public.
$10 covers your yoga class and 1 pint of beer, Kombucha, or sparkling water, the pint following the 1 hr All Levels Yoga practice. These Postures+Pints Sunday classes supports local small businesses, charities, and the community and participants have a lot of fun doing it.
The performance will feature a sampling of the programs that the group will perform in Germany. They will perform works by Alberto Ginastera, Arthur Foote, Bill Douglas, Franz Joseph Haydn, and Samuel Barber’s famous Adagio for Strings in quartet form as it was originally intended. They will also reprise Piotr Szewczyk’s San Marco Suite, which SMCMS commissioned for performances in both Jacksonville and Germany.
The concert will feature flutist Les Roettges, oboist Eric Olson, violinists Aurica Duca and Clinton Dewing, violist Ellen Olson, and cellist Nick Curry.

Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.
Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of Monroe and Laura Streets.
