Toast to Life, a fundraising event for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Jacksonville, was held Oct. 5 at Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach. The event featured The Chris Thomas Band, dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction for the shopping pleasure of 436 guests and sponsors, raising $412,000.
For the third year in a row, co-chairs of the benefit were Elaine Ashourian, Active Principal of Ash Properties and Randall Whitfield, chief operating officer. The proceeds of the event will aid local children with muscular dystrophy (MD), ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases to attend summer camp as well as receive medical care and research.
