North Florida Land Trust is hosting a Wine and Vines Garden Workshop at their river-friendly and edible yard at their office in Riverside. Garrett Llopiz of Ecodesign Solutions will be joining NFLT to talk about microclimates and groundcovers to compliment the change of the seasons. Everyone is invited to attend and will receive a sweet potato vine cutting to take home. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

This is a 6 week long class that is designed to teach students of varied experience. Beginners are welcome.
Students will have a chance to make their very own dinnerware set including bowls, vessel, cups, mugs, and plates. Ceramic terminology along with basic glazing techniques will also be taught in this class.

This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.

Early literacy toys ranging from building blocks to dinosaurs will be made available. Caregivers must stay with children at all times.
This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

Mary Coleman – Master Gardener. Mary will speak on fall planting and seeds. Mary has lived in Riverside Avondale for 36 years, and she has been a Master Gardener for 7 years. She has worked on community gardens for elementary schools and immigrants through Lutheran Social Service. Her area of interest is anything green!
Bring furry, fuzzy or scaly pets to Baker Green to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with special blessings from the clergy and treats for dogs and cats and their human companions.
This is a 6 week class where we will explore the aspects of creating with clay off the wheel. You’ll become very comfortable working with coils, pinch pots and slabs. You will learn to use underglazes to decorate your pieces. Instructor provides guidance for all levels of experience with special attention to newcomers. Experienced potters may pursue independent projects.
Please wear comfortable cotton clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. You may want to bring an apron to wear and please leave your fine jewelry at home.
