In this second Digital Photography class, we will get out of the classroom and take pictures in and around the library. We will explore different techniques and work on developing our eye as photographers. This class will require walking and may go outside so please dress comfortably.
True Stories meets on the first Thursday of every month to discuss a nonfiction book selection. At February’s meeting come prepared to discuss your favorite nonfiction reads and recommend books for future meetings.
This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.
This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens offers free admission on the first Sunday of the first full weekend of the month to all Bank of America or Merrill Lynch cardholders through the Museums on Us program. This unique exhibit by artist Nena Tahil showcases original silk paintings and the transformation of art into new dimensions.
Nena Tahil is currently a graduate student at UNF’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. A portion of the proceeds from sales will support mental health awareness in the Jacksonville community.
Vandroff Art Gallery hours are 8 am to 9:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm on Friday and 9 am to 6 pm Sunday. The gallery is closed on Saturday.

A Marriage Course which will be starting in March for all married couples or singles who have lived together for at least a year. This is a seven-week course with a dinner and two-hour class covering building strong foundations, solving conflicts, communication, finances, forgiveness, the impact of families, sex, love in action and commitment. This class will be free starting on Monday, March 6, at 6:30 pm with an introductory class to see if this class would be for you. The dinner each evening would be $6 and the homework booklet $5.
