Native Sun Natural Foods Market will hold a cooking class geared specifically toward children, age 5+. Dawn Hutchins, founder of Florida Coastal Cooking and Wellness, will host the class, along with her daughter Gabby.
The Kids Cooking Class is designed to engage children in the process of creating their own meals and to get kids excited about choosing healthy options. Participants will learn how to make Veggie Sushi Rolls with Yummy Hummus, in a hands-on hour-long class.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Children and adults will enjoy refreshments, take-home recipes, and a chance to win one of Dawn Hutchins’ cookbooks. Running the Race of a Lifetime!
Ortega Presbyterian Church invites your children to run with Olympian 2016, the exciting, fun-filled, and significant summertime Vacation Bible School adventure! Trained, caring “Coaches” guide young “Athletes” though action-packed, meaningful activities as they follow the heroic example of Joshua, that great champion of the faith whose life points us to Jesus Christ.
All children are welcome, from age 4 to completion of 6th grade, so invite your neighbors, cousins, and friends! Costumed storytellers, personalized “training manuals,” lively singing, theme-related crafts and outdoor recreation, as well as tasty snacks, create an exciting summertime adventure.
Olympian runs daily from Monday, July 25th through Friday, July 29th, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, with a Closing Program Friday evening, at 4406 Longfellow Street, 32210. For information and transportation, call the church office at 389-4043, or register on-line at www.ortegapres.org.
