Jacksonville Ortega Community Bible Study @ St. Mark's Episcopal Church

Community Bible Study (CBS) is an interdenominational study open to all believers and seekers. Our mission is “to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth bible study, available to all.”

This year our 30-week study will be on Corinthians 1 and 2. We offer women’s, men’s, teen’s and children’s classes. Our children’s program is a structured bible study using age appropriate materials for each age. Newborns to teens are welcomed.

Registration fee is $35 for adults and $10 for each child. Fee includes all materials for class. Scholarships are available.

In this course we will cover topics like how and why to vary fill density, how changing the speed of your print nozzle can affect the final print, as well as go over finishing techniques for different types of plastic so you can make your 3-D print look its best!

Stories for Young Children @ San Marco Library

This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, finger plays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building and comprehension. Arts & Crafts or Open Play following program. Early literacy toys ranging from building blocks to dinosaurs will be made available. Caregivers must stay with children at all times.

Banned Book Week @ San Marco Library

For teens: ALA Banned Book Week is September 25 to October 1 and San Marco’s program is being offered at 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 28. Some very interesting books made the ALA’s latest list of top challenged books, so any teens who want to participate should be ready for a lively discussion and program.
