The Jax Harmony Chorus, a Sweet Adelines group, rehearses every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Open houses are held every 4th Tuesday but you are welcome any time! As a member of the chorus, you will belong to a worldwide family of friends who value the joy of singing chord-ringing, fun-filled harmony.

The City Council Finance Committee will convene on Thursday, August 16 at 9:00 AM in City Hall. If your schedule permits, please attend this meeting, which is open to the public. These public meetings have an opportunity for public comment, during which you can stand and use your voice to formally pledge your support for an increase in public funding for Duval County non-profit arts and cultural organizations through the Cultural Service Grant Program, which is administered by the Cultural Council. We support Mayor Curry’s priorities for Jacksonville and know that an arts and culture sector with greater capacity can make a difference in each: · Public Safety · Economic Development · Neighborhoods (Quality of Life) · Youth · Health and Wellness · Leadership and Accountability If possible, please relate your public comments to how arts and culture can be leveraged to address and serve these priorities. |
