Learn how to do modified yoga poses in a chair. Everyone is invited to take part in these free sessions of chair yoga, which will be led by a certified yoga teacher. Come to all classes or take as many as you’d like. All programs are free and open to the public.

Introduction to Tai Chi @ Bill Brinton Murray Hill Library

The Taoist Tai Chi Society internal arts and methods incorporate stretching and turning into a sequence of 108 movements that reduce tension, improve circulation and balance and increase strength and flexibility. Often referred to as a moving meditation, this introductory class will cover the first 17 moves and explore other health benefits of Taoist Tai Chi.

Hemming Park Walking Club Kick-off @ Hemming Park

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets.
