True Stories meets on the first Thursday of every month to discuss a nonfiction book selection. At February’s meeting come prepared to discuss your favorite nonfiction reads and recommend books for future meetings.
This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.
One-on-one assistance with downloadable media, email, the Internet, online applications, and basic technology instruction. This is an ongoing class that meets every Friday for all artists levels. The class will focus on pastels, materials and techniques.
Students will work from a live model and still life setups on a rotating basis using various types of soft pastels and supports. Check our website for the recommended supply list.

The Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation presents the second annual A Vision of Hope Kidney Cancer Education Symposium in partnership with members of the medical community, our patient support group, patients and caregivers to achieve these goals:
• Educate, equip and empower kidney cancer patients on treatment choices
• Optimize the care of the kidney cancer patient through connections & collaboration
Many topics will be discussed that are important for people who are in active treatment, recovering or have been cured. These topics include:
• Therapeutic options
• Common Toxicities of Kidney Cancer Medications
• Surgical Treatment
• Treatment Options for Metastatic Kidney Cancer
• Molecular targets for renal cancer
This activity is approved for 6 contact hours for RN/LPN/ARNP/CNS.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Community Bible Study Ortega/Jacksonville on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. This year’s 30 week study will be “From the Red Sea to the Jordan River” and will begin on September 5th. No matter what your age, denomination or Bible knowledge – we have a place for you. Men, women and children are encouraged to come. Our children’s program offers classes with trained loving teachers with age appropriate curriculum from nursery through high school.
