The Jax Harmony Chorus, a Sweet Adelines group, rehearses every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Open houses are held every 4th Tuesday but you are welcome any time! As a member of the chorus, you will belong to a worldwide family of friends who value the joy of singing chord-ringing, fun-filled harmony.

The Taoist Tai Chi Society internal arts and methods incorporate stretching and turning into a sequence of 108 movements that reduce tension, improve circulation and balance and increase strength and flexibility. Often referred to as a moving meditation, this introductory class will cover the first 17 moves and explore other health benefits of Taoist Tai Chi.

Plot synopsis: A journalist becomes the host of an alien symbiote and acquires superhuman abilities – alongside a malevolent and unpredictable alter-ego while investigating the true nature of the secretive experiments conducted by the Life Foundation. Join the Museum every Tuesday and Thursday for a guided tour of the historic Cummer Gardens, beginning in the Museum lobby.

Beginning Thursday, January 10th, join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for a fast-paced 30-minute walk in downtown Jacksonville, led by Friends of Hemming Park staff. We will meet near the “Opposing Forces” sculpture in Hemming Park at the corner of  Monroe and Laura Streets.
