Virginia College Back to School Event @ Virginia College in Jacksonville

The event is free and open to the public, as the community is invited to kick off the new school year with Virginia College. The event will feature refreshments, popcorn, cotton candy, music, campus tours, cosmetology services, a cooking demonstration and a school supplies drive for which everyone is encouraged to bring and donate supplies. Attendees will be entered to win prizes such as Amazon gift cards and backpacks filled with school supplies.

Tai Chi for Arthritis @ Lincoln Villa Senior Center

The one-hour classes meet twice a week for eight weeks.

Participants learn balance skills, good body alignment, and coordinated fluid movements to increase flexibility and strength, reduce falls, and improve fitness.  Movements performed seated or standing (canes & walkers okay)

There is NO CHARGE to attend but class size is limited.
