Are you an older adult or a caregiver? Do you interact or work with older adults on a regular basis?
ElderSource Institute is hosting an open community training on age sensitivity. This training is 1.5 hours interactive training designed to expand your knowledge about the specific needs and challenges of older adults in the community. Participants have an opportunity to experience sensory changes through simulated activities.
There are two training dates available- Wednesday August 30 and Thursday September 14. Training is from 12-1:30pm and is held at ElderSource (10688 Old St Augustine Road 32257)

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The sessions include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level and ability. Led by a trained program leader, these enjoyable and motivational classes may be taken either standing or sitting in a chair.

The one-hour classes meet twice a week for eight weeks.
Participants learn balance skills, good body alignment, and coordinated fluid movements to increase flexibility and strength, reduce falls, and improve fitness. Movements performed seated or standing (canes & walkers okay)

This program is for children birth to 5 years with an adult caregiver. The program includes stories, books, fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and songs that promote language development, vocabulary building, and comprehension.
